You really feel that Bluehawk Pride as you ride down Harry Howard Avenue today. A lot has changed in the past 30 years since this circa 1980’s photo was taken. It is still the Hudson City School District but many changes have taken place. . .
This is the first year without Greenport Elementary. J.L. Edwards is now J.L. Edwards Primary School. It is still K-2 but has under gone many structural changes and additions to the building, in addition to new parking and a new playground. There is no longer a “Middle School”, it is now the Montgomery C. Smith Intermediate School which houses grades 3 through 6 with the addition of a new playground. The 7th and 8th grades have moved to the High School which is now the “Hudson Jr/Sr High School”. So I guess you can say it is the first year without “Hudson Middle School" or "Hudson High School”.
